Bree is building better, faster, and cheaper financial services for all Canadians. Our first product is an earned-wage access solution that allows the 55% of Canadians who live paycheck to paycheck to get up to $100 of wages they’ve already earned for no mandatory fees or interest. Instead of paying interest, customers voluntarily tip us if they like our service, and pay an optional express fee if they want cash the same day.
Founded in 2021 and based in Vancouver, B.C., Bree has raised $2M in seed funding backed by leading VCs like Y Combinator, Global Founders Capital, and other top angel investors including executives and founders of Meta (Facebook) and Forge.
We're looking for a full-stack engineer to join our team as an early member! You will work closely with the founders, help define the product and technical roadmap, and have large scope in what you’re working on. Given that we are consumer-facing and deal with money + sensitive information, you’ll be building systems where security, reliability and correctness are much more critical versus your average software product.
As Bree grows, we also expect your role to grow in whatever direction makes sense, from recruiting and managing our engineering team, or owning more complexity as an individual contributor. This is a position that will evolve into a real leadership role in whatever direction you’d like to pursue. Come help build and shape the future of FinTech in Canada with us.
